Since the world has designated June as celebrate sin month or as they call it “Pride” month we are going to look at what the Bible says about sin and pride.

I think it is interesting that they picked the 6th month. Satan’s number is 6. I don’t think that is by accident. God’s number is 7 the number of perfection. Satan’s number is 6 one short of perfection. Like everything that Satan does, he always falls short, and he steals everything from God because he has nothing on his own.

See what breaks my heart isn’t that the lost world who always follow their flesh are spending an entire month celebrating sin. No, what bothers me and breaks my heart is that churches all over the world are not only supporting and condoning this behavior but they are actively participating in these celebrations of sin. You will see churches flying the gay pride rainbow flags, having celebrations in their churches, and participating in the parades and whatever else is going on. Mainline religions that once held true to the Bible teachings that homosexual behavior of any kind is a sin and will keep you from heaven are now ordaining gay pastors and performing gay marriages, having drag queen shows, and many other horrible sinful behaviors.

just a quick side note. The rainbow is another thing that Satan has stolen from God and turned into the symbol of sin. The rainbow is God’s reminder that He made Noah a promise to never flood the earth again and Satan has stolen it. The rainbow does not represent sin.

If you are going to fly a rainbow flag as a Christian it better be because of God’s promise not because of sin.

Back to the churches who are part of this. Are churches supposed to support sin and promote it or are they supposed to bring people to Christ to have their sins forgiven? Right! Churches are supposed to be warning people what happens when we follow our flesh and reject Jesus.

Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Revelation 20:11-15 11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. 14 Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15 And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

This is the message that pastors and churches are supposed to be preaching. That sin leads to death and hell. But instead of saving the lost from death and hell these pastors and churches are driving the bus.

Paul makes it so clear in Romans. ( I suggest you read the entire book of Romans) Or watch our complete study on the entire book. the LGBTQ etcetera group are living in sin and they need to repent and have their sins washed clean by the blood of Jesus. Certainly not be proud of their sins and we certainly do not ever celebrate our sins.

The Bible is our source of truth and the Bible clearly states that no one who practices those things will be in heaven so for churches to teach otherwise is so horrible and is so Satanic. Their sins can be forgiven and need to be but pride keeps us from asking and accepting the free gift of salvation from God. Again what does the Bible say about it?

Romans 1:18 -32   18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse, 21 because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man—and birds and four-footed animals and creeping things. 24 Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, 25 who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen. 26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. 28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil-mindedness; they are whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; 32 who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.

It is so clear that God will not let this go unpunished. The churches and pastors I am referring to here, God will not let those who condone this and support and celebrate it get away will their demonic actions, and they will be judged harshly for their disobedience to God and His word. We are supposed to love the world so much that we tell them the truth about sin and that hell is real and we are supposed to share the gospel so that they will have the opportunity to be saved. No one will ask for forgiveness if they don't know they need to. If we tell them what they are doing is right and tell them to keep heading down the road to destruction (hell) then that is exactly where they will end up and their blood will be on the hands of all those pastors and churches who drove the bus.

The world says it is hateful to tell someone they are a sinner, that their lifestyle is wrong, and that they need to follow Jesus and not their fleshly desires. They hate us and call us all kinds of names like bigots and homophobes but that's okay because they said the same things to Jesus and they hated Him first. See they hate our message because our message is that they need to stop doing what they are doing and change their actions or else. But they like their sins, they like doing whatever they want and they don't want to stop. But the consequences of their decisions are eternal and last forever. The Bible says we must warn people. The Bible doesn’t ask us to do it, it demands we do it. If you truly follow Jesus then you must be obedient to what He says.

John 8:31-32 “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed. 32 “And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.”

John 14:21 “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.”

John 14:23 “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.

John 14:24 “He who does not love Me does not keep My words; and the word which you hear is not Mine but the Father’s who sent Me.

You cannot be obedient to Jesus and promote sin. Jesus died to save us from our sins not so we could celebrate our sins.

So what is sin? Sin is described in the Bible as a transgression of the law of God and rebellion against God.

1 John 3:4 Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.

1 John 3:6 Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.

1 John 3:8 He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.

See every time we sin it is the same as spitting right in the face of God or slapping Him in the face.

When we sin we are following Satan and our flesh, not God. In 1 Corinthians and also in Galatians Paul said: 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

Galatians 5:19-21 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Again the Bible our source of truth is so clear and we must tell people the truth that eternity is forever and hell is very hot and very real and that is where they are headed if they continue to live a life of sin in which they celebrate their evil lifestyles and are swelled up with pride over their sins. Pride was the sin that got Satan kicked out of heaven.

When Jesus said in Matthew 7:22-23“Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ 23 “And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’

Jesus was talking about pastors and so-called Christians who lie to people and tell them to celebrate their sins and tell them to keep on sinning, those that celebrate along with them and say, your good to go. They will have a special place in hell. See when we condone something, and we support someone’s sin we are telling them that they can slap God in the face and still get to heaven. But the Bible is clear no one who practices these kinds of sins will be in heaven.

As pastors we are held to a higher standard therefore if we fail to warn people and we take people to hell instead of saving them from it we will have an even harsher penalty than the one doing the sin.

The question we have to ask ourselves is are we going to follow Satan or are we going to follow the Lord?

As we can see the Bible is clear. Sin is something to be saved from, not celebrated, and not accepted as good or okay to do.

Jesus Christ the Messiah, the Savior of the world did not come down to earth and die a horrible death on the cross so that you and I could continue to do whatever we want and keep living a life that leads to death and hell.

Sin must be forgiven not celebrated. Sin must be washed away by the blood of Jesus. We aren’t supposed to be proud of our sins. It is interesting to me that the only sin they want to celebrate is sexual sin. We don’t see pride month for liars or thieves or murderers or even adulterers only for depraved sins like homosexuality and transgender. The lust of the flesh.

All sin starts as the lust of the flesh. We all have fleshly desires, but we seek the Holy Spirit’s help to fight those desires. We don’t celebrate them; we aren’t proud of them. When we do give into those sins of the flesh we repent of it and ask the Lord to forgive us. We don’t hang flags on our house and tell the world look at me I am a sinner.

Now Let’s look at what God says about pride. Because pride is also a sin.

Proverbs 8:13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil;
Pride and arrogance and the evil way
And the perverse mouth I hate.

Proverbs 16:18-19 Pride goes before destruction,
And a haughty spirit before a fall. 19 Better to be of a humble spirit with the lowly, Than to divide the spoil with the proud.

Psalms 10:3-4 For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire;
He blesses the greedy and renounces the LORD. 4 The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God; God is in none of his thoughts.

So we can see that God hates pride and He hates sin. Pride leads one to sin. Pride keeps one from God and the saving grace that is a free gift from God. A proud person will never admit that he or she has a problem and needs help. We must humble ourselves and take our sins to the Lord for His forgiveness.

Romans 10:8-13 But what does it say? “The word is near you, in your mouth and in your heart” (that is, the word of faith which we preach): 9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth, confession is made unto salvation. 11 For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.”

Today is the day to celebrate your salvation from sin. Believe in your heart that Jesus is Lord of your life and ask Him to forgive you of your sins.  Believe that He died for you, that He took the punishment that we deserved and God raised Him from the dead. So right now where ever you are say this prayer out loud and mean it with everything you have, your heart mind, and soul.

"Lord Jesus, I know  I have broken your laws and I am a sinner. Please forgive me. I believe that you died on the cross for me, that you were buried and God raised you from the dead. I ask that you come into my life as my Lord and Savior and I will do whatever you ask me to do."

The prayer doesn't save you, believing by faith is what saves you.  The power of God is what saves you.

I pray that this devotional blessed you and helped you to see God's love for you and the need to be saved from sin and not be proud of it or celebrate it. God bless you all.
